Women's Circle:
Coming Home to Yourself

A somatic exploration of the nervous system, connection and self-trust, in the company of other women

What becomes possible when you stop holding everything together and allow yourself to be held?

Wood Rings

If you've been exhausting yourself for others, giving more than you have to give, or managing life rather than really living it, this is an invitation to reconnect with yourself.

If you find yourself constantly holding it all together, struggling to know what you need, or feeling disconnected from your body and yourself, your nervous system may have something to tell you.

This Women's Circle is a space to explore that together.

A chance to step out of the roles and demands of everyday life and spend time in a space shared with other women, where you can be seen, heard and simply be yourself.

Through gentle movement, somatic practice, meditation, nervous system awareness and guided reflection, we'll explore how the nervous system shapes the way we experience stress, connection, boundaries, emotions and our relationship with ourselves.

Rather than simply talking about these experiences, we'll explore them through the body, noticing what is present and discovering what becomes possible when we meet ourselves with curiosity, compassion and trust.

We’ll create a space where you can be witnessed without being fixed, heard without having to explain, and supported without having to hold it all together.

“I am cared for in this space.”

Together We Will Explore:

  • Nervous system awareness and how it shapes the way we experience stress, connection, boundaries and emotion

  • Somatic movement and embodied practice to notice, explore and respond to what is happening in the body

  • Meditation and stillness as ways of creating space to listen and connect with yourself

  • Guided reflection and sharing, with space to be witnessed, heard and supported by other women

  • Self-trust and connection, exploring what becomes possible when you begin to listen to your own needs, signals and knowing

The Circle

We’ll gather as women, creating a space to feel heard, let go, and remember that we aren't navigating this alone.

A space for sistering, softening, and releasing into the refuge of the circle.

About Lauren

I’m Lauren Barri Holstein, a somatic practitioner, movement educator, and founder of The Kora.

My work explores the relationship between the body, nervous system, healing, expression, and embodied agency.

I’ve spent over 20 years working within rehabilitative movement and somatic practice, alongside 15 years facilitating embodied feminist work in universities and arts institutions across the UK and Europe.

My teaching integrates movement, nervous system awareness, meditation, reflection, and expressive somatic practice, and is deeply informed by both professional training and lived experience navigating chronic pain and illness.

I hold a PhD in Contemporary Feminism and Embodiment from Queen Mary University of London and originally trained as a rehabilitative Pilates teacher at the Kane School in New York.

“This course was deeply impactful. It was wonderful to release shame, feel fully present in my body, and know that I was held safely throughout. Lauren’s masterful guidance and invitations to fully consent at every moment allowed me to inhabit my body with freedom and presence.”
